But I felt stuck...I realized that I put myself in a box.
Being a mom and trying to be available to my family as much as possible turned into putting my needs and personal choices to the side. I knew I had to make a change and the time had come so in 2019 I decided it was time to start-up my business again….BUT….
I got caught in analysis paralysis on what type of business to start. I was asking myself too many questions and too scared to make a decision or commitment.
A lack of confidence and clarity kept me spinning my wheels. I felt completely overwhelmed, alone and really scared to start something new and then fail.
The confidence I had in myself in my younger (and childless) years was gone. I felt like I wasn’t the same person anymore. I doubted myself and my skills. I felt out of touch with what it would take to be successful.
Change Came With One Phone Call
A girlfriend and I were talking and she was playing with the idea of starting a business. I immediately got excited and asked lots of questions; giving her guidance and direction based on 22 years of owning my own business.
We brainstormed ideas and I gave her some next steps tailored to her business idea. Then we set another time to talk. She was so excited and grateful! My confidence in her helped her have more confidence in herself and that gave her the strength to move forward and take action. I started coaching her on a regular basis. She is now running a successful business!
I had no idea at the time that what I was doing was coaching my friend. I just saw it as ‘being a supportive sounding board’ and sharing my knowledge and experiences to help her get started. Then, I started thinking about how many times in the past I've done the same thing for other friends and family members by helping them launch successful businesses. I just thought it was something I'd like to do and was good at but never considered turning it into a career. Until I did.
Today, I am a Certified Business Coach and I Help Moms Launch Successful Coaching Businesses AND Thrive in Their Lives!
My superpower is incorporating my 22 years of entrepreneurial experience into a work-life balance system that gives moms the ability to be present for their families and have a thriving coaching business at the same time.
I have been where these moms are.
I have lived the self-doubt, struggles, fears, overwhelm and I have also lived the joy, freedom, flexibility and sense of purpose that comes with having a business. A business that helps other people live their best lives. Now, I help these moms get to where they want to go. It's my passion, it's my heart.
If I can help just one mom launch her dream coaching business so that she can have Financial Security, Flexibility in her schedule and time for family adventures all while having a career that fulfills her, then this is all worth it!
Now I get to spend my time in my business helping moms get their coaching businesses off the ground...and I LOVE what I do. I have a balanced life - one where my business and my personal life are both thriving.
